Phato zone joined Jim Corbett in December 2021; it is uncertain if this region of Corbett would immediately draw tourists because it is an unexplored area of Jim Corbett and the likelihood of witnessing animals in this area is the same as in any other zone of Corbett. Even the animals live in their native habitats, demonstrating the diversity of the flora and fauna that can be found here. Since the number of jeeps is set in every Corbett zone, and in the Phato Tourism zone, 50 jeeps are permitted to enter the forest during one time slot, even the name of the entry gate for the Phato safari zone is ‘Phato Gate’. One of the key draws is that this area welcomes people all year long, which improve the likelihood that tourists will visit this specific area. The Phato Zone entry gate is where you may get the permit to enter the forest; shortly, you'll also be able to do so via the official government website.
Location
The "Phato Gate" is the location opposite of both the Jhirna and the Dhela zones, and is located 26 kilometres from Ramnagar. It is the newest tourist destination in Corbett and has grown in prominence each year. Only 50 limited Jeep Safaris are allowed to enter the Phato Safari Zone for each of the two safari slots.
